Ryan Ideus and The Feudin' Hillbilly's - Savoy Old Orchard Daze

On Friday, September 14th, I went to the Savoy Old Orchard Daze celebration to listen to the Feudin' Hillbilly's:  The show was great as usual!  There was a HUGE crowd! It was hard to walk through people at times!

Ryan even brought me up on stage and 'introduced' me to the crowd...Which I thought was really awesome! He also told me that I am allowed up on stage anytime I am at a show to take pictures from there!  I didn't even know what to say at the time -- I was just shocked and excited!

I also met some other awesome people at the show who said they'd seen my work on Facebook and really liked what I was doing!

Feudin' Hillbilly's - Car X Crazy K - September 8th, 2012

Last night I went and listened to the Feudin' Hillbilly's at the Car X Crazy K.  As usual the band sounded awesome and drew in a pretty great crowd!  

This was my first time shooting video with my new camera -- I even brought a tripod along to help make the video more steady.  I was a little nervous to find out how the sound quality was going to turn out since the music was so loud, but when I got home and started watching the videos on the computer I was amazed!  The sound and video quality was awesome!  I stood behind the crowd and recorded and used my 55-250mm lens to zoom closer to the stage.  Even zoomed in as far as I could the video quality was still great!  I am very pleased with my new camera!

Nature Pictures! :) 9-5-12

Finally I got a chance to take the new camera out in decent weather and shoot some pictures!  Central Illinois was hit with the rain from hurricane Issac this weekend so I didn't have a chance to shoot outside then, and last night was the first time I was able to take some pictures in the sunlight!  I am really happy with the pictures I took! :)

When I was outside, I noticed the ground was sort of wet from a rain shower earlier in the day, so I put the camera down in the grass and snapped away.  I really like this shot, you can sort of see the moisture on the grass -- and even a spider web running across two blades.

I really love how the sun looks here!

New Camera!

Last Wednesday was my 17th Birthday!  I got a new Camera!  I was so excited to get it!  It is a Canon Rebel T3i -- which is 18 MegaPixels, takes amazing photos and even records HD video!  Along with the camera, I got the 18-55mm lens, and then bought a 55-250mm lens.  I also got a new bag to carry it all in.  I plan to get a tripod soon to help me shoot photos without blurring them because of shakiness.

I am really excited to begin working with my new camera and learning how to use all the cool features it has.  I will post more pictures and updates later! :)

Feudin' Hillbilly's - Sangamon River Festival - Mahomet, IL

A few weeks ago I went and listened to the Feudin' Hillbilly's at the Sangamon River festival in Mahomet, IL.  The band sounded great as usual, and drew in a huge crowd!  From the adults in the beer tent -- to the kids running around by the stage ... Everyone seemed to be having a great time.
