Today marked the 10 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States of America. The Twin Towers in New York City were struck by two planes that had been hijacked by terrorists. Then the Pentagon was struck by another plane, and a fourth plane was on it's way to The White House - but was overtaken by the passengers and later crashed into an empty field. Today there was a ceremony held in Downtown Urbana at the Courthouse in honor of those who were killed in the towers, and in honor of those who lost their lives in the war that broke out as a result of these terrorist attacks.
